LUTZ - Chuy's, the Austin, Texas, based Tex-Mex restaurant, is joining the ever expanding Cypress Creek Town Center.
The first Tampa Bay area location is slated to open this spring across the street from the Tampa Premium Outlets. This is the ninth Chuy's in Florida, joining other locations in Orlando, Jacksonville, Gainesville and Tallahassee.
"We are excited to share our passion for fresh food and unique flair with this awesome community," said Helen Bown, owner and operator of the Wesley Chapel location. "Everything that leaves our kitchen is made-from-scratch and we hope you feel the time and love we put into each and every plate."
Chuy's menu includes dishes made from hand-rolled tortillas cooked fresh all day on a traditional comal in the dining room. Everything is fresh, never frozen, and there are 10 homemade signature sauces. The menu features favorites such as Chuy's "Big As Yo' Face" burritos, the hand-pulled chicken stuffed "Chicka-Chicka Boom-Boom" enchiladas and the famous "Elvis Green Chile Fried Chicken" which comes breaded in Lay's potato chips and smothered in green chile sauce.
The new Chuy's location will be nearly 8,500 square feet and include a large patio. On weekdays, Chuy's will offer daily drink specials and a Fully-Loaded Nacho Car, which is a free build-your-own nacho station with chips, salsa, queso, ground sirloin and more from 4-7 p.m.
Chuy's will be located at 25750 Sierra Center Blvd. It will open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit chuys.com.
