CITRUS PARK - Aldi continued the three-day celebration of its new Citrus Park store on Saturday (March 10) with all shoppers receiving eco-friendly shopping bags.
The store started on Thursday, excited about expanding its reach in Tampa Bay.
"We value our customers in Tampa, and we're excited to open our new Citrus Park store to continue offering high-quality groceries at prices they love," said Matt Thon, Aldi division vice president.
The Citrus Park store presents a new look, offering a modern design, open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials.
Aldi offers premium groceries at prices up to 50 percent less than competitors. All Aldi exclusive brand food products are free of MSG, certified synthetic colors and partially hydrogenated oils.
Shoppers will find a variety of items including fresh produce, USDA Choice meats, organic items and gluten-free choices.
Aldi boasts that it saves customers money by cutting overhead costs. Shoppers insert a quarter to release a cart from the corral and receive the quarter back upon the cart's return. A smaller store footprint, open carton displays and encouraging customers to bring their own shopping bags are other cost saving practices.
Aldi is located at 10419 Sheldon Road. It is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit aldi.us.
