With more than 25 years in the baking industry, Marc Tauchnitz has learned that friends and families can't always agree on flavors when it comes time for dessert.

That's why his new business, Tiny Bites Dessert-&-Cake Shop, offers something for everyone.

Tauchnitz created "tiny bites," which are unique treats made with a crisp tart shell filled with flavored creams and toppings. The tiny bites come in a variety of flavors, including creme brulee, S'mores, cookies 'n' cream, key lime pie, pina colada, dulce de leche, maple bacon, and Peanut Butter Cup. Everything is made to order.

"The end product will be the freshest you can possibly get," Tauchnitz said.

In addition to offering customers plenty of flavor choices, Tauchnitz also wanted to offer smaller sized desserts.

"I had the idea based on how everyone is going to smaller portions," Tauchnitz said.

Tiny Bites also offers cake pops, three flavors of cupcakes, macaroons, cannolis, and custom cakes. Cake decorator Tita Ramirez works with customers to create custom cakes for weddings, birthdays, parties, and corporate events.

Tiny Bites is located at 14398 N Dale Mabry Highway, Suite 104, in the space formerly occupied by Smallcakes. It is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. For more information, call (813) 968-6800, or visit facebook/tinybitestampa.
