Bucs receiver helps welcome MOD Pizza to Lutz

MOD Pizza celebrated the grand opening of its first Tampa location on Oct. 9. Pizza sales from that day were donated to The foundation for Bucs receiver Mike Evans, a non-profit private agency dedicated to supporting, empowering, encouraging and motivating today's youth with an understanding that no goal is unattainable.

BBX Capital is the exclusive MOD Pizza franchisee in Florida, and there are plans for up to 60 MOD locations throughout the state over the next five to seven years.

"MOD has established itself as a leader in the fast-casual pizza category while offering consumers an authentic, affordable and fast dining experience," said Jarett Levan, president of BBX Capital. "We are thrilled to spearhead the rapid expansion of the brand throughout the state with our first Tampa location."

MOD offers individual, artisan-style pizzas that are made on demand, using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces. Customers create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of over 30 toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. The price always remains the same regardless of the number of toppings. Pizzas are hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in just minutes and salads are individually hand-tossed for each customer.

Also on the menu are hand-spun milkshakes, house-made lemonades and ice teas, and local craft beer and wine.

MOD Pizza is located in front of the Tampa Premium Outlets at 2227 Sun Vista Drive. It is open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday. For more information, visit modpizza.com.
