Skills Center preps for Tampa Bay Youth Sports Expo

The Skills Center presents its annual one-day community event, The Tampa Bay Youth Sports Expo, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday (August 4) at its facility, 300 E Sligh Ave, Building G.

The Skills Center is a sports based youth development organization that promotes success in leadership, education, excellence and discipline through the power of sports.

Its philosophy is that every kid is capable of learning in the right environment with caring adults and an intentional focus, so the organization aims to give youth an environment that brings out the best in them.

The Skills Center proudly partners with Feeding Tampa Bay, Wawa, and Operation Sunshine every year to host this event that provides youth ages 5 to 15 the opportunity to sharpen their skills while learning invaluable information applicable to academics, sports and life.

The event will feature a variety of different activities for youth to enjoy such as live workshops and live demonstrations, interactive skill zones, music from a DJ, vendors, games, food, school backpack giveaways and more.

Skills zone trainers include The Tampa Bay Lightning, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Rowdies and Cheer Girls Entertainment.

The Tampa Bay Youth Sports Expo event is free for all youth to attend however, registration is required as there are a limited number of tickets available.
