CITRUS PARK - Husband and wife Stefano and Gina Mouratos have been serving breakfast and lunch for seven years to their loyal customers at Toast, their restaurant in New Port Richey.

Next month, they are opening up a second location in Citrus Park.

After looking around at different areas, an opportunity arose for them to open in the space previously occupied by Bell's Tap-&-Tavern which is located next to Beef O' Brady's.

"I love the area," said co-owner Stefano Mouratos.

At Toast, the menu offers more than just bread and butter.

"The actual meaning of toast means grilled cheese in Europe," said Stefano Mouratos. "It's almost like an international term for grilled cheese."

A variety of cheeses and other ingredients are incorporated into the toast and the omelets, and there are five specials each week. Diners can also choose from a large variety of menu items such as eggs, pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, crepes, sandwiches, pitas, wraps, salads, and soups.

"Everyday is a different soup," said Stefano Mouratos.

One of the most popular soups is the Greek Chicken Lemon soup which many customers buy by the quart.

Toast is slated to open in July. It is at 8552 Gunn Highway and will be open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. For more information, visit facebook/TOAST-Citrus-Park.
